Break through the clutter
It could be argued that your firm's client messaging and communications plan should be your top priority. Clients are inundated every day with messages from your competitors. Those clients don't want to leave you, but you have to give them multiple reasons to stay.
The bad news: You can't outsource your communication plan and expect it to be effective. Clients can see through that stuff in a heartbeat.
The good news: Doing it right can be easier than you think. Clients want to hear from you ; what's more, they want to interact with you.
Market updates are boring, unoriginal, and obsolete almost immediately. Be creative in your client communications. How about:

Which communication methods are right for you and your client base? The answer is not always obvious. You may need to survey your clients, examine the local scene, evaluate your current program (or lack thereof), evaluate the hidden capabilities of staff members. Then devise a plan that works for you and that you can realistically sustain.
